Industrial coating of HEB beam structure - Belgium
Summary:
- Asset owner project to revamp its HEB beams prolonging lifetime of the asset

- Project engineering team ensuring an efficient repair for the client avoiding operational disruptions
Due to the renovation of his plant a Client decided to assess the condition of the foundational structure of his installation and to increase its durability for the future. Future Services was contacted to do some NDT investigation to assess the quality of the HEB beams, and based on these measurements it was decided to reinforce the structure in the most impacted/corroded location.
Subsequently the corrosion protection was also advised by and executed by Future Services. A specific type of blasting medium, blasting spread, coating and coating spread was selected based on the active preconditions.
For the execution FSE used a combination of scaffolding and rope access to speed up the works and avoid operational disruptions.
